My grandparents live in Wausau, Wisconsin. I don't get over to see them as often as I'd like, but it's always fun when I do.
My cousin Todd also lives in Wausau. He got us tickets to a Packers game at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. I really don't like the Packers and it was a preseason game, but because it was at Lambeau, I was excited to go.
This is a photo of a random truck taken near Shawano on the way to Green Bay. Out of the picture to the left are Eric and Nancy in Nancy's car. They were on their way back to Minneapolis. (note: I'll fix the size of the photo later)

It started to rain right after the national anthem. Since I drove through rain all the way to Wausau, I picked up a two-pack of ponchos at a gas station in Chippewa Falls. I think we looked pretty cool, really.
We saw Brett Favre play about ten minutes.
These ladies were hardcore Packer fans. They were OK with me being a Vikings fan, since I promised to clap for the Packers. When in Rome, right? However, I drew the Roman line at urinating in the sinks. My impression of these ladies was marred considerably by the comment that a (black) player "would've caught it if it was a watermelon." Um, is it worth mentioning that they made a derogatory comment about Kerry, too? I'm just sayin'- not all whiskey is bourbon, but all bourbon is whiskey...
Those ladies had a sign, too. Todd picked it up while they were on a trip to the bathroom and the beer stand.
We were close to the action.
The halftime entertainment was Pop Warner League football. The accompanying music? Gary Glitter.
This is the view from my grandparents' apartment. That's Rib Mountain in the distance.
Grandpa and Grandma making dinner.
Here they are outside on the promenade.
We went to Marathon Junction for lunch. My mom's cousin and her husband own and run it. It's in the middle of beautiful Marathon Park.
The train at the Junction.
I visited Todd and Sue and Jett at their house.
Grandpa and I went to the farmer's market. I bought some cherries. They're gone now.
Wausau has a lot of parks. This one is next to the Wisconsin River.
We stopped for a restroom break at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum. Sculptor Patrick Dougherty created Putting Two and Two Together for the sculpture garden. I found it fascinating.
