I think it's obvious that this needs to be fixed. Not incidentally, why is this OCR even necessary? Is the database that stores the information transmitted by the MDTs so primitive that this information, and similar information on other runs and routes, can't be pulled up with a relatively simple search? I would be awfully surprised if it were... I refuse to speed or run red lights and I wait for the elderly passengers (of which there are many) to get to a safe place before I move, so when I drive this work, I like to think safety is not compromised. As a result, customer service and my personal health are sacrificed. The bus can be nearly empty, or the bus can be full. It doesn't matter. The only day that I was able to keep it almost on time (9/3), it started to rain at around 1:00. It's no secret that our population is aging and getting more obese. I hope upper management and the scheduling department are keeping that in mind. The schedule is bad through downtown, but is definitely worst west of Uptown Station, in both directions. I seriously doubt whether the schedule, as written, could be kept by driving the route in a car. | ||
