In March 2002, the city of Minneapolis put up a statue of Mary Richards, Mary Tyler Moore's character on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. It was a gift from TV Land.

I think a lot of people must get their picture taken next to it, because I've taken the following pictures of people doing just that from my bus. And obviously, I can't sit at 7th and Nicollet all day waiting for people to take their pictures.
